Custom Website Design

A site shaped around what your customers are trying to do — call, book, or ask for a quote — not a template with your logo dropped in.

This is for you if

  • You're starting from nothing and want to look established from day one
  • What you have is a builder template nobody's touched since it went up
  • You need it live in weeks, not a quarter
  • You want to own the site, not rent it
The short version

"Custom" gets used to mean a lot of things. Here it means one specific thing: the site is designed backwards from the job it has to do. A plumber's site has to produce a phone call from someone standing in water; a salon's has to produce a booking at ten at night; a contractor's has to make the estimate visit a formality. Those are different layouts, different first screens and different words, and a template can't tell the difference. We start from the job, then design.

Every build gets the same foundation regardless of trade. Mobile-first, because most of your customers will only ever see the site on a phone. Fast — pages that paint in about a second on a mid-range Android on one bar of signal — because Google measures it and customers feel it. Copy written for you, page by page, in the words people actually search. LocalBusiness schema, a tuned Google Business Profile and the on-page signals that decide who reaches the map results. Forms and tap-to-call that land in your inbox and on your phone.

It takes two to three weeks and about ninety minutes of your time: one conversation at the start, one look at the homepage, one review before launch. The price is fixed and quoted before we begin, the domain is registered in your name, and the site is yours outright — code, content and all. If you ever want to work with someone else, you take everything with you.

What you get

What's actually included.

Designed around your job

The first screen, the call to action and the page structure follow what your customers are trying to do — call, book, quote, order.

Copywriting for every page

Written from a conversation with you, in the words people search, and sent back for approval. You don't need to write anything.

Mobile-first, checked on real phones

Designed on a phone screen before a desktop one and tested on actual devices before launch, not just a resized browser window.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Compressed images, minimal scripts, no page-builder bloat. Pages load in about a second and pass the metrics Google measures.

Local SEO groundwork

LocalBusiness schema, location and service pages, title tags written for your town, and a Google Business Profile that agrees with the site.

Forms, booking and tap-to-call

Lead capture that reaches your inbox and your phone, scheduling that plugs into what you already use, a phone number that dials on one tap.

Hosting, SSL and analytics wired in

Fast hosting, the certificate, analytics and call tracking set up and handed over. Hosting is billed to you directly with no markup.

You own everything

Domain in your name, site in your account, content yours. No hostage situation, no export fee.

How the work runs

Start to finish, without needing much of your week.

  1. Day 1

    A real conversation

Twenty minutes on what work you want more of, who you're up against and how customers find you now. You get a fixed quote from it.

  2. Week 1

A homepage you can react to

The actual homepage, not a wireframe. You tell us what's wrong in plain English and we change it — two rounds included.

  3. Week 2

    The rest gets built

Every page, the forms, the booking, the phone links, the maps. Set up on fast hosting with SSL and analytics.

  4. Week 3

    Launch, then rank

Domain pointed, site submitted to Google, Business Profile tuned. Then we watch the rankings and keep the site moving.

Questions

Straight

How long does a website take?

Two to three weeks from the day we have your photos, logo and a short conversation about the business. The slow part is almost always waiting on content, so we write it for you and keep your involvement to about ninety minutes in total.

What do I need to provide?

Your logo if you have one, any photos of the business, and twenty minutes to talk. If you don't have photos we'll source or arrange them; if you don't have a logo we'll sort out something clean. Everything else — the copy, the structure, the technical setup — is ours.

Do I own the website when it's done?

Yes, completely. The domain is registered in your name, the hosting account is yours, and the code and content belong to you. If you decide to work with someone else next year, you take all of it with you and nobody charges you to leave.

Do you use WordPress or a page builder?

No page builders, and no themes with forty plugins stacked on top. We build on a modern, fast stack with a simple way for you to edit the content that changes — hours, menus, galleries, specials. It's the difference between a site that loads in a second and one that loads in six.
